Small Manufacturing Special with Madeline

In January we had an exclusive first look at the new SuperCAT Sound Tails with these at the NAMM show and the concept looked great. The SoundTools crew put a lot of focus into developing the SuperCAT Sound Cable and it’s no wonder why. Their rugged & shielded category 5 rated cable has a unique trick up it’s sleve. With individual drain wires per pair, it can be terminated like a traditional audio snake.

While making the most of this year, the SoundTools team is fighting daily to get more products finished and into your hands. It seems like a simple thing, putting audio over CAT5 by way of Ethercon RJ45 to an XLR fan-out. However, the intricacy of getting it all together in a rugged enough way to stand up to constant stage use at the highest levels is far from trivial.

We’ll find out more from Madeline in the video. She was awesome to join us and answer some questions about the process behind the scenes. I’ve talked to so many people with ideas for products or gadgets, apps or other tools in the past. I thought hearing from someone involved in executing those ideas and responsible for bringing them to life could be helpful.

If you haven’t seen it, I’d suggest watching when the SuperCAT Sound Tails were introduced earlier this year. I’ll miss seeing friends in person this year at the trade shows.
