We’re back on the gear!

In this video we’re taking a first look at the new Studio 1810c USB-C audio interface from PreSonus. Recently introduced at the NAMM show back in January, we were there to see them first hand, and now have one here on the test bench to share with you. The 1810c is an incremental update to the previous ‘Studio’ line of USB interfaces PreSonus has offered in recent years. While the USB-C addition is more of an update than an upgrade, the 1810c offers a unique configuration of i/O when put up against similarly priced and positioned offerings from other manufactures. A subtle but possible important feature for use as a utility interface for live sound professionals, the dc coupled balanced line level outputs allow this interface to be used in control voltage applications. With six balanced line outputs, it’s also an attractive & lightweight option for anyone looking for multi-channel output from playback software such as QLab.

We’ll see how things shape up as we test it side by side with the Quantum 2 interface that we’ll be looking at in an upcoming video. Stay tuned for more updates as we use the 1810c more in the coming weeks.
